This guy who is in the national guards just broke up with his girlfriend, who has his child. I told him to make up with his girlfriend no matter who’s fault it is. The kid is not at fault and the kid needs both parents.

Then this other guy is in the navy, and he suspects that his girlfriend is cheating on him. I told him to propose to her. They’ve been together for 2 and 1/2 years. If she really does cheat she will undoubtedly blurb it out, if not, you just gave her the most comforting words - a word of commitment, for life. Then he told me about his plan: to propose to her on a decommissioned aircraft carrier. That’s really sweet.

I felt good. For once I think everything’s not that bad after all.
